Slam Dunk North is held at Temple Newsam Park within the city limits of Leeds.  If you came to our city centre site in the past you'll be glad to know Slam Dunk North will be a short shuttle bus from Leeds City Centre, and our new site will bring more of everything you love about Slam Dunk in a beautiful scenic environment! 

Slam Dunk City Shuttle:


Slam Dunk Festival (North) is held at Temple Newsam, just outside the city centre of Leeds. There will be a dedicated festival shuttle bus service operating on the day and will transfer you from Leeds city centre (Sovereign Street) direct to the festival site and home again.
The service will run continuously during the following hours. 


TO the festival site from Leeds:
First departure 0830 (8:30am) Last departure 1500 (3:00pm)


FROM the festival site to Leeds:
First departure 2000 (8:00pm) Last departure 0100 (1:00am)

Arriving by car and parking


Slam Dunk North car park is located off a junction of the M1 and A63. 

For the Sat Nav location of the entrance to the car park please search for 'Temple Newsam Park - Event Road' as your destination and then follow yellow festival signage once near the festival site.


As we are a 1-day event the car park will close shortly after the festival has finished so cars will not be able to be left overnight. The car park will open at 9am.  Driving / Car Share is the most direct route to get to Slam Dunk North due to the location directly off the M1. We advise customers to buy tickets in advance from HERE.

Pick Up and Drop-Off:

The dedicated pick-up and drop-off space on the site is at the North entrance to the site. This is accessed via the public entrance from the city into Temple Newsam Park on Temple Newsam Road via the A64. This is for all taxi's and people being dropped off by parents / friends.  

Follow the directions to Temple Newsam Road and then from there you will see the YELLOW event signage to the Pick-Up and Drop-Off point.

By Train:

Slam Dunk North is accessible from Leeds City train station via our City Shuttle or Taxi. Taxi pick-up and drop off is in the North site Entrance (city entrance) as is the City Shuttle pick-up and drop-off.

By Plane:

The nearest airport to Slam Dunk Festival North is Leeds Bradford Airport, you can also get a direct train from Manchester Airport straight to Leeds City Centre.

By Taxi:

There will be a taxi rank at Slam Dunk North situated at the North entrance (city entrance) and the site is a short ride by taxi from all areas of Leeds.  

By Local Bus:

By Bus: The 19 and 19A run from Leeds City Centre to Temple Gate which is a short walk from the entrance to the site.  For more information see the West Yorkshire Metro site HERE


National Coach Service - Big Green Coach:

Big Green Coach is operating a wide variety of travel options for customers wanting to attend Slam Dunk Festival Leeds (North)


We have ticket and travel options for both days (SDF North and South) – please visit the website for further details.


  • There will be an extensive network of day return coach options (available with or without an entry ticket) for both Slam Dunk festivals (North and South)

  • We will be operating a frequent shuttle service between Leeds city centre and the event site – tickets are cheaper when purchased online in advance. Single and return tickets are available.
