WHAT IS SLAM DUNK NORTH?
SLAM DUNK NORTH is the northern date of Slam Dunk Festival, the UK’s biggest independent Rock Festival. Slam Dunk North is a 1 day event with no camping available.
WHERE IS SLAM DUNK NORTH?
SLAM DUNK NORTH is located in Temple Newsam Park within the city limits of Leeds. It's on an M1 junction and a short shuttle bus ride from Leeds Train station! For more information see below in our 'getting there' section.
WHEN IS SLAM DUNK NORTH?
SLAM DUNK NORTH 2019 will be held on Saturday 25th May 2019, this is the May bank holiday.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO COME?
To come to Slam Dunk North you need to be 14 years old or older. If you are over 18 bring ID as you will be asked for it at the bar if you want to buy an alcoholic drink.
WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO SLAM DUNK? WHAT IS PROHIBITED?
Like all large scale outdoor events are there restrictions on what you can and can't bring into Slam Dunk Festival. We have security checks on entrance to the festival to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Bags - You will be able to bring a bag to the festival if it meets our bag policy requirements. Our bag policy has changed from previous years, backpacks smaller than a piece of A3 paper will now be permitted into the festival. More information can be found by visiting this post on our new bag policy.
ID - We recommend bringing ID to the festival as all bars will require this to serve you. We accept cards bearing the PASS hologram, a photographic driving licence and a passport.
Food and Drink - You can't bring food and drink into the festival but we have a wide range of food stalls, bars and fresh water available across the site.
Medication - You can bring medication labelled in your name (please bring ID). Please make security aware of this before entering the security checks.
Recreational Drugs - We have a strict anti-drugs policy. The use of illegal substances including new psychoactive substances (NPS) or similar is strictly forbidden. Any persons found in possession of illegal or illicit substances will be ejected and substances seized.

Slam Dunk North is held at Temple Newsam Park within the city limits of Leeds. If you came to our city centre site in the past you'll be glad to know Slam Dunk North will be a short shuttle bus from Leeds City Centre, and our new site will bring more of everything you love about Slam Dunk in a beautiful scenic environment!
Slam Dunk City Shuttle: Slam Dunk North will be running a shuttle bus from Leeds City Centre to the festival site. Tickets for this shuttle are available to book in advance now from HERE and you have the option to book a single or return journey.
By Car: Slam Dunk North is located off a junction of the M1, A63 and A64.
The post code for Sat Nav's is: LS9 0PS. Please follow any yellow festival signage you see above Sat Navs.
Parking: There will be parking available at Slam Dunk North, please use LS9 0PS as your destination and then follow yellow festival signage once near the festival site. As we are a 1 day event the car park will close shortly after the festival has finished so cars will not be able to be left overnight. The car park will open at 9am. We advise customers to buy tickets in advance from HERE.
By Train: Slam Dunk North is accessible from Leeds City train station. There will be a shuttle bus going to site from the city centre near to the train station. If you wish to travel by taxi from the station it is a short ride to site.
Slam Dunk North is also a short walk from Cross Gates Train station. Trains run from Leeds station to Cross Gates every half hour.
Taxis: There will be a taxi rank at the site and the site is a short ride by taxi from all areas of Leeds.
By Bus: The 19 and 19A run from Leeds City Centre to Temple Gate which is a short walk from the entrance to the site. For more information see the West Yorkshire Metro site HERE.
Pick up and Drop Off: There will be a dedicated pick-up and drop-off space on the site. Further details are to follow on this.

Tickets for the afterparty will be sold separately to the festival.
Customers requiring disabled access to the festival are requested to buy tickets from our primary ticket provider Luna Tickets and See Tickets. You can request an access wristband from our Access Customers Page.

For those of you who are traveling and may have bags bigger than A3 sized, we are offering a bag drop service.
If you don’t want to carry your bag around with you all day you can pre book a locker below, leaving you free to enjoy the festival bag free!
The lockers, phone charging, and bag drop service will all be located at the entrance of the festival by the wristband exchange.

The legendary Slam Dunk Festival afterparty for Slam Dunk North will be held at Leeds University. This event is strictly 18+ and you will be required to bring proof of age. The afterparty kicks off at 10pm and carries on until 3pm, tickets can be purchased here.
There will also be an official Pre-Party held at the uni on Friday 24th May, here you can collect your Slam Dunk Festival wristbands early and skip any potential queues in the morning! Tickets for the pre-party can be purchased from here.
The festival site will facilities will include Food stalls, merchandise stalls, water points, and the site will be fully accessible to disabled customers. There will be food outlets serving Vegan and Vegetarian options. More details on our outlets to follow!
