WHAT IS SLAM DUNK SOUTH?
SLAM DUNK SOUTH is the Southern date of Slam Dunk Festival, the UK’s biggest independent Rock Festival. Slam Dunk South is a 1 day event with no camping available.
WHERE IS SLAM DUNK SOUTH?
SLAM DUNK SOUTH is located in Hatfield House Park just opposite Hatfield Train Station. The site is next to a regional bus stop and situated close to a junction on the A1. For more information see below in our 'getting there' section.
WHEN IS SLAM DUNK SOUTH?
SLAM DUNK SOUTH 2019 will be held on Sunday 26th May 2019, this is the May bank holiday.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO COME?
To come to Slam Dunk South you need to be 14 years old or older. If you are over 18 bring ID as you will be asked for it at the bar if you want to buy an alcoholic drink.
WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO SLAM DUNK? WHAT IS PROHIBITED?
Like all large scale outdoor events are there restrictions on what you can and can't bring into Slam Dunk Festival. We have security checks on entrance to the festival to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Bags - You will be able to bring a bag to the festival if it meets our bag policy requirements. Our bag policy has changed from previous years, backpacks smaller than a piece of A3 paper will now be permitted into the festival. More information can be found by visiting this post on our new bag policy.
ID - We recommend bringing ID to the festival as all bars will require this to serve you. We accept cards bearing the PASS hologram, a photographic driving licence and a passport.
Food and Drink - You can't bring food and drink into the festival but we have a wide range of food stalls, bars and fresh water available across the site.
Charger Packs - You can bring charger packs for your mobile device if the size fits within the sizes in our bag policy.
Medication - You can bring medication labelled in your name (please bring ID). Please make security aware of this before entering the security checks.
Recreational Drugs - We have a strict anti-drugs policy. The use of illegal substances including new psychoactive substances (NPS) or similar is strictly forbidden. Any persons found in possession of illegal or illicit substances will be ejected and substances seized.

Slam Dunk South is held at Hatfield Park in Hatfield. The site is situated opposite Hatfield Train Station and is a short drive from junction 3 of the A1 (M).
Slam Dunk South is situated in Hatfield House Park not far from the A1 (M) and the town of Hatfield.
If you are coming to Slam Dunk South we ask that you DO NOT approach through the town of Hatfield. The postcode for Sat Nav's is: AL9 5PG, which is directly off the A414. When you are within 2 miles of the site please follow our Yellow Festival road signage rather than your Sat Nav to ensure you go into the right entrance / exit.
Parking: Parking is available on the festival site, the car park entrance is off the A414 Westbound only. The postcode for the carpark is AL9 5PG. Once you near the festival site follow the yellow festival signage and not your Sat Nav.
As we are a 1 day festival the car park will close shortly after the festival has finished so no cars will be permitted to remain overnight. The car park will open at 9am. We advise customers to buy tickets in advance from HERE.
The car park entrance is at the South site holding area, this is a left turn if leaving the main arena.
Slam Dunk South is a situated in Hatfield Park opposite Hatfield Train Station. This is a 24 minute train ride from London with trains going regularly from London and regionally. The last train back to London is at 00:23 (accurate at 15 May 2019).

PICK UP AND DROP OFF / PRIVATE HIRE TAXI / UBER
There will be a dedicated pick up and drop off space on the site for private hire taxis and the public. For 2019 we have a new entrance for all customers being picked up and dropped off which will be the Hatfield House Visitor Car Park entrance which can be found on Google Maps HERE.
Black Cabs will run from Hatfield Station. Note this is different to the Uber Taxis or Private Hire Taxis which will pick up and drop off from the Hafield House Visitor Car Park.
NATIONAL COACH SERVICES:
The Big Green Coach: The Big Green Coach company is our coach partner providing travel to the festival direct from towns across the UK. To find out more please see HERE - You can travel to Slam Dunk South with Big Green Coach from the following places:
SLAM DUNK SHUTTLE (HATFIELD & ISLINGTON)
There will be two shuttle bus services running continuously to BOTH afterparty locations from 10pm until 2am. One service will drop you at The Forum, Hatfield and the other service will drop you in Central London (Angel). These shuttle buses run from the station.

Afterparty and shuttle bus tickets tickets will be sold separately to festival tickets.
Customers requiring disabled access to the festival are requested to buy tickets from our primary ticket provider See Tickets and Luna Tickets. You can request an access wristband from our Access Customers Page.

For those of you who are traveling and may have bags bigger than A3 sized, we are offering a bag drop service.
If you don’t want to carry your bag around with you all day you can pre book a locker below, leaving you free to enjoy the festival bag free!
The lockers, phone charging, and bag drop service will all be located at the entrance of the festival by the wristband exchange.

New for 2019, there will be two locations for the legendary Slam Dunk Festival afterparty for Slam Dunk South. It will be taking place at O2 Academy Islington and also at The Forum in Hatfield. This event is strictly 18+ and you will be required to provide proof of age for entry.
There will be a shuttle bus service running from Hatfield Station to BOTH afterparties from 10pm until 2am. More information and tickets for the shuttle buses and afterparties can be found HERE.
The festival site will facilities will include Food stalls, merchandise stalls, water points, and the site will be fully accessible to disabled customers. There will be food outlets serving Vegan and Vegetarian options. Here are some of the traders we have available on the day. Note that the traders not specified in the Vegan group may have vegan and vegetarian options, and traders not stated specifically as Gluten Free may have Gluten Free options on their menus.
